A Space for the Dundee Community
Since its founding nearly 150 years ago, Gilfillan Memorial Church has opened its doors to the people of Dundee. Our beautiful and historic building has long been a place where the wider community can gather, create, celebrate, and learn together.
With a variety of welcoming spaces—large and small—our facilities are well suited to a wide range of events and activities, including:

Sanctuary
With its elevated platform, stage, and choir loft, our sanctuary provides an ideal setting for larger events and productions. It is also perfect for large social gatherings and receptions. The space is especially well suited to music: its warm, resonant acoustics make it a wonderful venue for concerts and performances. Seating capacity is currently estimated at around 250 people, including the balcony.
Lower Hall Theatre
Our lower hall is a flexible space that works well as both a meeting room and a small theatre. Equipped with a stage, curtains, and lighting, it’s ideal for rehearsals and smaller productions, while also serving as a comfortable setting for meetings and group gatherings. A well-equipped kitchen is located just next door, making it easy to provide refreshments or catering for your event.
Upper Hall Library
Our upper hall is a welcoming space ideal for smaller gatherings such as study groups, classes, and team workshops. With comfortable seating and a warm atmosphere, it provides a relaxed setting for conversation and collaboration. Newly installed toilets are located nearby, and a kitchen is easily accessible.
